Documented, observed, or folklore

Three categories

1. Documented. Stated by the search engine in its own developer documentation. Reliable, and revised — so worth checking rather than memorising.
2. Observed. Widely reported by practitioners and consistent with how results behave. Useful, and not proof.
3. Folklore. Repeated because it has been repeated. Sometimes it was once true; often it never was.

Where a text here makes a claim, it tries to make clear which of the three it is. That is unusual in this field and it is the main reason the site exists.

Four rules

• No product names. No tools, no platforms, no comparisons, no affiliate links.
• No figures we cannot verify. Most circulating percentages are vendor estimates repeated until they sound official.
• No promises. Nobody can guarantee a position; anyone who does is misrepresenting.
• The uncertainty stated. Where the honest answer is “nobody outside knows”, that is what we write.

What we do not do

• We do not provide SEO services or take on client work.
• We do not audit sites or review reports on request.
• We do not sell or operate software.
• We do not recommend agencies or tools, and we receive no payment from any.
• We do not offer training or certification.

How this is funded

The site is published and paid for by ELO Cloud GmbH. There is no advertising, no sponsorship and no affiliate arrangement of any kind.
